How Porta Potty Rental Works
From your first quote request to final pickup, here's what the process typically looks like — plus how to get your site ready so delivery day goes smoothly.
The Process
Five Steps, Start to Finish
-
1
Request a Quote
Share your event or project type, expected guest count or crew size, and ZIP code. This helps match you with a unit type and count and gives an accurate sense of local pricing.
-
2
Choose Your Units & Schedule
Confirm the recommended unit type and count, then pick a delivery window that works with your event date or project timeline. See our unit guide if you're still deciding.
-
3
Prepare Your Site
Clear the placement area of vehicles, debris, and low-hanging obstacles so the delivery truck has a clean, level, accessible spot to place each unit.
-
4
Delivery Day
The truck arrives, levels and positions each unit in the confirmed spot, and you're ready to go. See our placement & servicing guide for site requirements.
-
5
Servicing & Pickup
Single-event rentals are picked up after your event ends. Multi-day and long-term rentals get scheduled servicing visits (pumping, restocking, cleaning) throughout the rental period.
Preparing Your Site for Delivery
A little preparation before delivery day helps avoid delays:
- Choose a flat, level spot. Units need stable, level ground — sloped or soft, muddy ground can make a unit unstable or hard to service.
- Ensure truck access. Delivery and servicing trucks need a clear path wide enough to reach the placement spot; narrow gates or steep driveways can limit where a unit can go.
- Think about guest or crew flow. For events, place units within a short walk of the main activity area but away from food service and seating. For job sites, place units near the active work zone but out of the path of heavy equipment.
- Plan for servicing access. Multi-day rentals need a clear path for a service truck to return during the rental period — avoid boxing units in with parked vehicles or temporary structures.
Process FAQs
How much notice do I need to schedule delivery?
It varies by provider and local availability, but scheduling at least a week or two in advance is generally recommended, especially during peak wedding and festival season (spring through fall). Some providers can accommodate rush requests depending on the market.
What if I need units serviced mid-event or mid-project?
Multi-day events and job-site rentals can typically have a mid-rental service call added, which includes pumping, restocking supplies, and cleaning. Let your provider know your event length or project duration up front so servicing can be scheduled in advance.
